Okay yall, if you are still using deodorants that have aluminum in them then plzzzz do your body a favor and switch over to the natural stuff. Seriously, no excuses.
If you're anything like me, you’ve tried several different brands and found that all of them were just "meh." Whether the texture is weird, it doesn't last long or it gives you a rash, it's a damn struggle.
Over the past few months....ok maybe more like a year....I've tested all of the popular natural deodorant brands on the market and will be doing an honest review of them!
Important thing to note: if you’re just making the switch there might be a little detox period where you’ll feel extra smelly… I’ll do another post soon on things that help during your detox :)
First up: Schmidt's Rose and Vanilla Natural Deodorant. Rating: 5/10
-Scent: amazing. LOVE the smell
-Application: It was painful at first until I read that you should hold it to your armpit for a couple of seconds to heat up the coconut oil in it before gliding it on. It still doesn't feel amazing when you rub it on though
-Texture: strange. It would clump up on my armpits into little chunks.
-Ingredients: no toxins here! BUT the coconut oil can stain your clothes. It was tough to get it out of my Elsa costume lol. ALSO this product does have baking soda in it which can causes rashes. If you have sensitive skin they do have a new sensitive skin line that contains magnesium instead of baking soda
-Did it last though? yes, I rarely had to reapply during the day
-Price: $4.69 at Target
